Yoosha has many competition successes locally and abroad. She has won many music
awards in Korea (her homeland) and in New Zealand where she has lived since
1994. She was awarded a Special Prize at the Gisborne Music Competition, first
prize at the National Concerto Competition and was a member of the Schnittke

internationally renowned cellist Mstislav Rostropovich.
Yoosha’s cello was made by Bruce Carlson of Cremona in 1998 and her bow by Hans
Schmidt. Their use has been made possible through the generosity of the Sir
John Barbirolli Memorial Foundation and long time Chamber Music New Zealand
supporter, Christopher Marshall.
Rachel Fuller developed a passion for chamber music at the University of
Canterbury. In 2000 she was awarded her Masters degree in piano accompaniment
from the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Over the past three years Rachel has worked with leading British Chamber Opera
Company Diva Opera and is currently working as a freelance accompanist, chamber
musician, repetiteur and vocal coach. In 2003 Rachel accompanied Ann Lamont-Low
on her very successful ‘Remembering Kathleen Ferrier’ tour for Chamber Music
New Zealand.
